Gang Green is the brainchild of Kurt Erickson a Suffolk University Communications Major and Assistant Manager at WCAT. (Winthrop Community Access Television) Kurt a die-hard, life long Boston Celtics Basketball fan, decided back in 2006 that there was a real lack of Celtic fandom in the Boston area. The Celtics were dwindling in the shadow of sports titans like the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. There fore Kurt wanted to share his love of one of the most storied franchises in sports, and after a disastrous 2006-2007 season, he figured the Celtics could only go up from there. He enlisted the help of fellow WCAT producers and sports fanatics Adam Grover and Dave Houghton. Coincidently around the same time fortune smiled upon Boston when the Celtics pulled the trigger on a monster deal that sent Kevin Garnett to Boston joining recently signed Ray Allen and current superstar Paul Pierce. This lit a fire under Erickson, Grover and Houghton and in August of 2007 the first episode of Gang Green aired.

Since then Gang Green has been a well oiled machine of Celtics knowledge and analysis each and every week. Host Kurt Erickson and o-hosts Adam Grover and Dave Houghton also needed the help of a behind the scenes crew. Lee Gigliello a key grip for on set needs and on-air cheerleader, Ted Hayes helping out behind the camera and Mike Delia working the camera and being a back up director. Behind the glass Cory Flintoff works the audio and despite much on air scrutiny Mike Deluiso gracefully directs the show each and every week.

Throughout the 2007-2008 season Gang Green became good friends with the guys from Celtics Stuff Live, as they appeared on Gang Green as guests during mid-season. Also Gang Green hosted phone in guests such as Boston Globe beat writer Marc Spears and the voice of the Boston Celtics Sean Grandy.

The best gift Gang Green received in 2008 was they got to chronicle an improbable turn around and an amazing season of Basketball by the Celtics. The cherry on top was defeating the Los Angles Lakers in the Boston Garden and capturing the NBA championship, no one could have dreamed up a better scenario.

Now staring the 2008-2009 NBA season in the face, Gang Green looks to make it an even better season with the show spreading to over 20 different cities in and around the Boston area. Gang Green will as they say continue to "drink the kool-aid" and support the Boston Celtics each and every week with unbiased Analysis, honest and objective opinions and some laughs.
